Sailability

Sailability is a Royal Yachting Association initiative that gives people with a disability the opportunity to experience sailing and to sail regularly.

Imagine the thrill of sailing, for people who can feel and hear, but have no sight, or of sailing a boat at speed even though they cannot walk, or of joining in a sport where deafness doesn't matter!

That's Sailability. Run by volunteers, enjoyed by the disabled - fun for everyone!

Sailability at North Hykeham Sailing Club was started by Sleaford Rotarian, the late Keven Roberts.

For a more detailed view of how we're involved at Sailability, check out www.hykehamsailing.co.uk/sailability. You would be most welcome to come along any Friday to see what we do - we're always grateful of a little help!

The pictures below show Keven with the Princess Royal when she visited Hykeham Sailability.
